Fusion Markets Review

Fees, Spreads, Regulation, Pros & Cons 2026

By InvestingFXWeb Editorial Team Fact-checked Last updated: September 2026
Melbourne, Australia Established 2017 fusionmarkets.com

Verdict at a Glance

Fusion Markets is a value-focused ECN broker based in Melbourne, offering some of the lowest commissions in the industry — $2.25/lot/side on the Zero account, undercutting IC Markets ($3.50) and FP Markets ($3). With ASIC regulation, MT4/MT5/cTrader/TradingView support, and a $0 minimum deposit, it is an attractive option for cost-conscious ECN traders. The main drawbacks are the limited instrument range (450+ vs 2,250+ at IC Markets), shorter operating history (established 2017), and no 24/7 support. For traders who prioritise low costs and solid platform choice over instrument variety, Fusion Markets is a strong contender.

Our Rating

ASIC regulation (Licence 428901) provides tier-1 oversight. VFSC Vanuatu is a tier-3 offshore regulator with lighter requirements.

Client Fund Protection

Client funds are held in segregated trust accounts at Australian banks, completely separate from Fusion Markets' operating capital. ASIC regulation requires client fund segregation and regular external audits. The broker complies with ASIC capital adequacy requirements. SSL encryption protects all data transfers, and two-factor authentication is available for account login.

Negative Balance Protection

Yes — Fusion Markets provides negative balance protection for all retail clients under ASIC regulation. You can never lose more than your total deposit, even during extreme market volatility or gap events.

Bonuses & Promotions

Fusion Markets does not offer welcome bonuses or deposit bonuses. The broker focuses on providing the lowest ECN commissions in the industry ($2.25/lot/side) rather than promotional offers. This approach aligns with its value-focused positioning — the savings from lower commissions add up significantly for high-volume traders compared to one-time bonus offers. The broker occasionally runs trading competitions with cash prizes.

Total round-turn cost on EUR/USD averages $4.50-6.50 including commission, making it cheaper than IC Markets ($7-9) or FP Markets ($6-8). The Classic account has no commission and spreads from 1.0 pip. Maximum leverage is 1:500 for retail clients. Scalping, hedging, and Expert Advisors are all fully supported. Execution is no-dealing-desk with no requotes — orders route directly to liquidity providers. Spreads are variable and may widen during major news events, which is standard for ECN pricing.

Overnight Swap (Rollover) Fees

Overnight swap (rollover) fees apply on all accounts except Islamic (swap-free) accounts. Swap rates vary by instrument and are published daily. Triple swap is charged on Wednesdays for forex pairs to account for weekend rollover. Islamic accounts are available on Zero and Classic accounts and charge no overnight swap, complying with Sharia finance principles.

Education & Research

Fusion Markets provides a basic educational section with trading guides and video tutorials. The content covers platform setup, basic trading concepts, and market introductions. However, the educational offering is limited compared to brokers like XM or AvaTrade that specialise in beginner education. There are no regular live webinars or structured trading courses. For experienced traders, the lack of educational content is not a drawback, but beginners may need external resources.

Customer Support

Fusion Markets offers 24/5 customer support via live chat, email, and phone. Support is available in English. Live chat response times are typically under 5 minutes during business hours. Email responses are usually received within 4-8 hours. Phone support is available via Australian numbers. The support team is generally knowledgeable about platform issues and account queries. The main gap is the lack of 24/7 support — IC Markets and Exness both offer round-the-clock service.

Final Verdict

Fusion Markets is an excellent choice for cost-conscious ECN traders who want the lowest commission in the industry ($2.25/lot/side) without sacrificing platform choice. With ASIC regulation, four platform options (MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView), and no minimum deposit, it delivers outstanding value. The main drawbacks are the limited instrument range (450+), shorter operating history, and lack of 24/7 support. For traders who primarily trade forex and value low costs over instrument variety, Fusion Markets is one of the best value choices available. Our overall score of 85/100 reflects its strong cost proposition with some limitations in market coverage.

Good but needs more instruments

Fusion Markets is solid for forex trading but the instrument list is quite limited compared to IC Markets or Pepperstone. Only 90+ instruments which is not enough if you trade stocks or crypto CFDs. For pure forex trading though, the pricing is competitive and execution is reliable.

Perfect for my first ECN account

Started trading with Fusion Markets 6 months ago after moving from a market maker broker. The difference in execution quality is night and day. No requotes, tight spreads, and withdrawals within 24 hours. The support team helped me set up my MT5 platform over live chat. Very happy so far.

Great value ECN broker

Fusion Markets offers ECN pricing with lower commissions than most competitors. The $250 minimum deposit is reasonable. Spreads on EUR/USD are competitive during London hours. The platform is MT4/MT5 only which is fine for most traders. Good choice if you want ECN pricing without paying premium commissions.

Great value but newer broker

Fusion Markets offers excellent value with low commissions and multiple platforms. The cTrader execution is smooth and spreads are genuinely tight on the Zero account. My only concern is that they are a newer broker (est 2017) so the track record is shorter than established names. Customer support is helpful but not available 24/7. Overall a solid choice if you want to minimize trading costs without sacrificing quality.

Lowest commissions I have found anywhere

Fusion Markets has the lowest commissions I have seen — $2.25 per lot per side on the Zero account. That is significantly cheaper than IC Markets or Pepperstone. The fact that there is no minimum deposit is great. MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView are all supported. ASIC regulation gives me confidence. Execution is fast and reliable. For cost-conscious traders, Fusion Markets is hard to beat.

Zero deposit and zero issues

Fusion Markets has zero minimum deposit and ultra-low commissions. I was skeptical at first but after 8 months of swing trading I have had zero issues. Withdrawals arrive within hours. ASIC regulation is a big plus.
